FILM
The Audience Prize for Drama at last year's Sundance Film Festival went to
PICTURE BRIDE, the first American film written, produced and
directed by Japanese-American filmmakers. Starring Mystery Train's Yuki
Kudo and inspired by the life of director Kayo Matano's grandmother, it is
dedicated to Asian women who left their homelands as picture brides. In
Japanese with English subtitles. From mid-May at Yebisu Garden Cinema.
